We got this and love it.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0052QYLUM/?tag=cl03f-20

Have been thinking of about getting this one.  Any other feedback on it?  Had initially thought about the DropCam but read that it uploads 60 GB per month and in case Comcast ever reinstates their data cap, I wouldn't want to be stuck with this.

I also thought about the Foscam but couldn't find a good Android app that had push notifications for movement/noise.

I have that one too. If you are are looking for a camera for using solely within your house it's a pretty good option but it has no wifi, and can only transmit to the receiver.
I highly doubt that the Dropcam uploads 60gb a month... There is a low resolution setting that would decrease the upload bandwidth.

You might be right about the low resolution... here's the source for my information.  http://support.dropcam.com/entries/21438818-How-much-bandwidth-does-Dropcam-HD-use-

Why are you worrying about a data cap now? Just get it and sell it if you have a data cap in the future.

Anyone have any experience with a Levana baby monitor? Especially the Keera and Ovia. Are they good? Worth the money?

What about a Lorex?

I had a different model Levana and it was horrible! We use a Dropcam and its excellent.

I use Dropcam and am very happy with it.
Easy installation, good android app.

One thing to consider- if you want to have access to recordings then you should be aware that Dropcam works with a "Cloud service" and you cant save the video locally. You will get a free 2 week trial to view back recorded video but after that you can only view live feed or sign up for one of their paid options.

Are there any baby monitors that can be connected to a smartphone cheaper than the dropcam linked above?
