Many people have also had better luck writing to the office of the President for reconsideration on Citi cards:

Again, compare value.
A big thread dosent necessarily indicate a money making( or lost, for the banks) offer. See how long the Chase A/A thread is.
Its all just a guess.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

I meant why does Citi make a fuss about people having 2 AA cards but they don't care if you have 2 TYP cards?
I asked him this exact question (I have 2 TYP cards, and these apps were for the SO).
He told me its AA's policy, yada yada

Does anyone if Citi will re-pull my CR if I send a letter to Ken Stork? (I will of course be including my reference #)
What about if they get my letter 30+ days after my app?
Thanks in advance

Has anyone tried AskCiti on Twitter to try and get a declined app approved? I just talked to a supervisor in recon and she was rude as hell to me.

Anyone have luck overturning a no decision on the AA biz card?
I received the following reason:
You already have the maximum number of accounts
that can be issued to an individual.

I have no biz cards with them, so they must mean personal cards.

Supposedly a letter works best for Citi, but I sent them one and they never even bothered to respond. They suck

So 5 is the apparent limit?

I'd have followed up.

I thought we never trust the reps.
I'll call them soon and post it.

Called them, mentioned that I had canceled a personal account. He confirmed some details, put me on hold, and then approved me. (And he confirmed the 50k + 150 w/o my asking)

Got a letter response from them finally (I thought they are supposed to call you?)

They told me to kick rocks again for the same reason, too many recent inquiries.

Tell her not to be an idiot like her colleagues. Citi's recon reps are nasty.

I just got declined for a 2BM AA Visa+Amex. I was surprised that the reason was: Monthly balance of Amex over 20k!
I explained that the high charges are business operating expenses and obviously not personal spending. Speaking to
multiple supervisors of multiple departments didn't help. I'm using the age old DDF method: Bitochon, Tehillin, and HUCA!
