Many people have also had better luck writing to the office of the President for reconsideration on Citi cards:

I just got declined for a 2BM AA Visa+Amex. I was surprised that the reason was: Monthly balance of Amex over 20k!
I explained that the high charges are business operating expenses and obviously not personal spending. Speaking to
multiple supervisors of multiple departments didn't help. I'm using the age old DDF method: Bitochon, Tehillin, and HUCA!
No doubt that with enough tehillim, Hashem will judge you favorably...

First thing you do is pull your credit report and verify it's clean.

I'm thinking about a 3bm of citi business cards... I currently have a no annual fee ATT card that formally was an AAdvantage Business card. I converted it about 3 years ago. It has a very small credit line. Do you think it will help at all to even have it to have some sway in reconsideration if I need it? Maybe it's better to just shut it down so they won't somehow make the connection that I once received the signup bonus for the AA card?

Citi: 866-606-2787 (Account Analyst)

Got declined for too many apps, called the number and spoke to a guy who said the final decision has been made for this app and they cannot even put it through for reconsideration. Offer of moving credit and/or closing a card also did not help.

Huca? Another number I should call? Write a letter?

Anyone with experience getting 3rd app of a 3BM approved, please advise. Thanks!

Though I have no exp or information re 3BM, people generally have more luck via writing letters.

To the president, to the "Executive Review Department", or to both?

does anyone have experience being approved for a second citi card on recon when the denial reason was too many inquiries?   or do they just pull your report again and repeat themselves?
