Any moderately priced hotels ($ or points) near 30th st station? I have IHG, Hyatt, and some SPG.

Also, how hard is it to uber or take public transit from city to Citron and Rose?

When are you looking to stay here. Prices for hotels are very much dependent on what's going on in the city. For example, this week has most of the hotels going for $150 at most. I prefer the Le Meridian, Westin, and Aloft for SPG options. They are all about a 15 minute walk or 7 minute drive from 30 st.

As for getting to C&R, you can definitely Uber, but it will take you around 15 - 20 minutes without traffic. IME, leaving the city to go to Bala Cynwd is a shlep. When I stay in the city, I try to either bring food, or eat locally. When I go to Bala, I try to catch mincha / maariv, and a meal.

How is the new Aloft downtown? And how does it compare with the Aloft mount laural?

Again, I almost stayed here, but went to try to Le Meridian (rooms are still tiny) again. I took a walk over to the Aloft and was very impressed. The hotel is in the historical 1925 Liberty Title Building. The lobby feels like the huge bank lobby's with board games scattered throughout. They have a pool table as well. The Gym is in the old Vault.

Looks like a very cool new option. I'll check out the rooms next time I come here.

Also looking to stay in center city this weekend.  Do any of the shuls have shabbat dinner or kiddush on Shabbat morning?  Is there a supermarket in center city that we can get kosher food since we are arriving late Friday afternoon.  Any hotel suggestions, any with keys instead of electronic key or Shabbat aware?

Went to Mekor  Habaracha on Friday night.  They are moving next week toward 15 th street first in a temporary building and then again a few months later into a permanent bigger building so check locations before you go.  Went to Chabad on Sbabbat morning at fifth and Lombard.  Very nice and friendly people.  Nice calm kiddush  People can sit around and talk.  Very welcoming to guests.  Beautiful building.  Seems like theire are two Bnai Avrahams within blocks of each other.  The first one is the Chabad and a second, an another modern orthodox one.  Just be careful if you are looking for a soecific one.
Staying at the Bellevue.  Very nice basic room.  Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on Shabbat issues.  Only downside is the first set of rooms are on the twelth floor so you need to walk up and sown all those flights on Shabbos.  Great workout for those of you who this would not bother.
Had to set a time in the morning so security could meet us at our room to let us walk down.  They were there early just waiting for us, very friendly.

Bnei Avroham is only open Shabbos morning. Friday night and Shabbos Mincha they daven in Vilna which is a block away. The Sheraton Society Hill was really nice,  took out one suite for the meals and a few other rooms. They were very accommodating in terms of bringing the extras (Chairs, 2nd fridge, beds, etc). The staff is very familiar with our Shabbos needs. The hotel only has 4 floors so getting a high floor is a non issue..
