Wood
Pros: Cheap
Easy to change shape or size as your needs for space change
DIY - most people would be able to build it from scratch or make modifications (e.g. add windows)
Can be converted to chazzon ish (replace metal screws with peg screws)
Can integrate a schlock to the structure
Cons: Heavy, Can warp over time. (note: if you use enough fasteners and are also careful to assemble it balanced this can be minimized)
         Needs lots of storage space

Fiberglass
Pros: Easy Setup (on level ground)
Length/width is reconfigurable (you just need to buy a few 2x4 beams if you change layout)
Cons: Expensive
Greenhouse effect on hot days (need to budget for several open/shut windows)
Connection threads can become bent even with proper storage (need to budget for the odd panel replacement here and there)
         Can Crack or Break

Canvas
Pros: Setup in minutes
Cons: Not accepted by all poskim
         Poor protection from cold Weather
         Wind Can be bothersome.

Another plus for the leiter's modular sukkah: it's very easy to make bigger by just buying additional panels. Great for when you have more kids, family or/and guest.

P.S. I still occasionally work for them (after my full time job) during peak season and am sometimes able to get some good deals for family/friends. If you decide to go with a leiter's one I might be able to get you 20% off. (Sukkah price, not shipping. Unfortunately)

Here's the thing; Leiter's Sukkah's are a bit more expensive than other sukkah manufactures out there. However my experience is that they are also better and last longer. They also have more options (7' or 8' high, about 12 diffrend colors if you choose wood, windows, doors etc) than other places.
wood is a bit more expensive than fiberglass and it looks much nicer. it all depends where you store it during the year (specialy in cleveland  ;) ) If you store outside than i would advice you to take fiberglass. wood will warp and be ruined in 2-3 years.
Leiter's has a wholesaler in cleveland. it's Jacobs book store (right by Izzy's pizza) Give them a call and see what he can do for you.
One more thing: customer service @ leiter is sometimes a bit less by Leiter's. It all depends on your salesman. specially if you don't live in Brooklyn and you can't bring it by to fix something if needed.
How do i know all this ?! I worked @ leiters for about five years. did retail sales and managed their wholesale department too so i know most of their wholesalers pretty well. Some of them have no idea about sukkah's and screw up a lot so be carefull. The one in cleveland is pretty good.
My wife is from cleveland and I'm in cleveland for sukkos every year so if u need any help setting it up the first time, I could give you a hand. The least i can do for someone who saves me thousands of dollars over time  :)

Thanks for all the info!

Just stay away from canvas. If you use canvas and decide to make it bigger one year, you'll be stuck buying a whole new canvas as opposed to with panels where you can just buy new panels

If anyone here is familiar....
As far as the canvas sukkas go, any recommendation between the following sukkos? I'm more asking about quality/features (durability, windows, doors, ease of setup) than price. Are the different ez snaps even made by different manufacturers - and just sold under different names?
BTW - looking at an 8x12

any others?

Sensible Sukkah Sounds like an interesting option especially if you're short on storage space.

Watch the video - cute log cabin look!

Did you see an actual sukkah too? I'm having a hard time figuring out what the actual look is. Is it cozy like a log cabin or weird like sitting in a lego box.

What's about the look?like I said earlier from the video it could easily go either way from cozy to weird. Also do you know anyone that used it . What's the feedback is it strong or wobbly?.

I"yh I'll be building my own Sukkah for the first time this year.

Any recommendations?  Best durable Sukkah that's not too hard to put together?
Made a decision yet?

I'm leaning towards the modular wood option. I know of 3 companies; Leiters, Sukka Depot , and a third one based out of Passaic name slipped my mind. Does anyone know if there's any real difference between the 3. Or they are all the same with a tiny variation like someone mentioned that Sukkah Depot interlocks on the corners.

I`m pretty sure the Passaic one supplies Leiter`s but I might be wrong.
