Make sure they price match before you buy. Ppl are reporting that their customer service is refusing to price match. Terrible customer service apparently.

Sears.com still lists it for $400. So do compusa newegg and buy.com.

any reason not to buy and return when the price goes lower? (then buy back)

I just spoke to a rep at 1888bestbuy. She said that its no longer avail online or in store bec they are being sent back to hp.

hp.com has them for$99 too but they're out of stock.

Your CSR might be wrong that website was updated 2 hours ago.

Apparently some stores are NOT selling them and sending them back to HP but some are. Though by now they all might be. But in the beginning that was what was reportedly happening.

If you return they don't usually let you buy back right away and then it will be gone. Sears.com might lower the price eventually and match your previous order to the new lower price. As long as you could return it I'd say go for it!

They appear to only have the 32GB version in-stock.

Yeah you would have to check into the "fine print" but in theory it should work. If you buy it full price....
I'm hoping stores will just match the offer so we don't have to go through the hassle.

I just noticed that the HP touchpad at sears that was available- the 32GB - was on sale for $15 cheaper.. and says the following:

No Sears store price matching is permitted on this offer. Excludes Clearance and Sale items. Offer good through 20-Aug-2011

Make sure you use a CC that has price protection. I used my Amex, which doesn't...WHOOPS..

According to the Sears sales rep I spoke to this morning on the phone all orders from last night are being cancelled. Guess we'll see what happens.

When I hit the "checkout" button, I get a message saying page not found. Anybody else have this problem?
