Thanks! Don't really wanna wait 6 months though...
You may not need to. I'm not familiar with that case, but perhaps 6 months was because of new SSN? Sign her up for creditScorecard.com and monitor her score until it's at a place you're comfortable applying for the cards you want.

Thanks everyone! I'll keep an eye on her credit score and we'll take it from there...

Will chase approve me for a business and personal in one day? I'm trying to the ink preferred(for a new business) and united cards. Also I have 3 opened accounts in the last 75 days(latest March31).Is it prudent to get more cards now as I only have 5 total?

FYI , chase has been shutting a lot of new accounts if they seem risky, so you might want to tread carefully.

Does discover and wells Fargo use the same FICO score algorithm ?
If not, which one is the real FICO score that the banks use for cc apps ?

You need to check the creditpulls database on creditboards and see what CRA those issuers are using where you live.

Neither are your true FICO score which banks use. Although I have found that they usually tell you your true score on approve or denied applications return mailers

An update on a previous  post of mine in which I can't seem to find. I had a hospital bill sent to collections and was already on collection for a few years so I asked if it's better to pay or wait until it falls off credit report. Well I waited it out and today it dropped off of my credit report and experian score jumped for 690 to 755! Interesting though that this dropped off my credit report after 5 years not 6 or 7 like I was told!

I called experian to make a credit pull dispute. They said i had to call amex but with amex you have to mail in a form. Who else do i call for my dispute? (I thought i remember calling experian before for previous disputes)
