Looking for a BIG air conditioner

I am sick of my apartment not being cold enough because the air conditioner isn't strong enough. I am looking for something BIG, I think 20k+ BTU's. Anyone have any suggestions? Home Depot's look grossly overpriced and they don't sell any of the same ones as lowe's so I can't price match.
I was thinking of getting from lowes a 25k BTU frigidaire. It goes for $529. Hoping to apply 10% off coupon and then to split the charge onto 2 separate starwood cards to get the 40 off $200 spend at lowe's (from http://www.dansdeals.com/forums/index.php?topic=9961.0) to make the total (529-53-40-40=$397 + tax). Will this work? Will I still have extended warranty through amex?
Anyone have any better ideas or better deals?

It does indeed seem to let me register, but has anyone confirmed that they got the credit?

Either way you won't be able to make a warranty claim across 2 cards AFAIK.
