I still think T bills is the way to go, but for those who use Marcus there is a 0.1 rate bump if you're a AARP member which you can usually get for free or close to free.

Yes sure. Got $8 back with chase offer and 12 via CB.

Name on accounts have to match.

I signed up without my real name because of reports of getting loads of spam. I changed the name for a minute when activating on Marcus.

Was it discussed tax implications when putting money into interest savings accounts as opposed to putting money into Treasury accounts?

Doesn't seem to stack on my accounts with the referral bonus. Says no online savings accounts found.

tbills you are basically receiving all the interest up front via paying less for the tbill. Federally taxed in the year the tbill matures. The investment rate on the tbill is the interest rate you want to use to compared to a hysa - but compare the interest rate # not the APY that the banks advertise.
If the interest rate is the same - keep in mind by tbill's you receive all the interest upfront which can be invested giving you a higher APY.
