Probably could've been covered in the other thread
CorrectI used to every 56 days. Free soprts tickets and other goodies. Then stopped because I wasnt well and never went back. My kids do it now.
Poll option added
Not everyone is eligible to give blood.
The implication was that I don't but wouldn't mind is different than I don't and I can't
Maybe add "no, but I wouldn't mind"
Maybe that's a reason to add "no, but I would" to the poll
Have you ever donated blood when you had no idea who the recipient would be?
Just wanted to make a point that Judaism (as well as Jews) is not against helping others regardless of religion. And not just helping someone cross the street, but even giving blood. The reason that we do not donate organs while brain dead does not stem from an unwillingness to help a stranger. Rather we don't want to kill our relatives (even a minute before they die naturally) in order to help someone else.
FTFY
Don't want to kill anyone at all.
What happens when a Mothers life is in danger when carrying/delivering her child? I don't want to say priority so I hope you know what I am asking.
Halacha tells us to save the mother over the child, I don't want to get into a discussion about why, someone else can handle that.
Not looking for a discussion. Is this widely accepted or one of those things I will get different answers?
Also platelets. I hold the record at Maimonides for the quickest unit of platelets ever given.
