Did we really need to have posted on the news chats the Gadol Hador wrapped in a Tallis on the floor?!? how insensitive 

+1000. I was shocked that someone would even have the chutzpah to take a picture in that situation and not be embarrassed of doing so.

Between this and last week's video of a Lakewood yungerman's fatal car crash I think we have a long way to go, both on the frum news sites and on whatsapp.

2 different scenarios. When a gadol is niftar he’s placed in his shul (or house) wrapped in a talis & hundreds & even thousands of people come to say tehillim until the levaya.
An accident should never be shown.

At least in that case the argument can be made that awareness can be helpful.

And sometimes it is the graphic images that are the impetus to ensure it ends or is prevented in the future.

Am I the only one that doesn't see an issue? Like @TimT kind of said, it's not like there was an accident and that's why he's there. He died. This is the way they do it there. It's equivalent to being put into a coffin here. Do you have a problem with them showing a flag draped coffin? How about a funeral procession? How about a picture of a cemetery where there are thousands of people who *gasp* died and are buried? It's normal and it will happen to all of us eventually. Again, if they're showing a body in a body bag after an accident or a shooting, that is completely different.

I politely disagree. In was not considered acceptable to post pictures of levayas etc. as news items until relatively recently, but now it certainly is.

I think the picture here worth 1000 words can be a source of inspiration for people.

Its a busy Erev Shabbos after a very busy day. Perhpas we can be Inspirep to open a sefer, or read an inspirational online article on the parasha. Even for just 5 minutes; something to fill this tremendous void.
