I just had a thought/idea today, and was wondering if it's possible.
I have a traditional IRA and a ROTH IRA both with Level 2 option approval, which allows me to sell cash secured puts.
Let's assume I sell a cash secured puts for $200 in my traditional IRA, which require $3,000 of cash to secure the position.
Can I do a partial in kind ROTH conversion (assuming I have enough cash to secure the put in case it gets exercised in the ROTH account) of the short put position and a corresponding amount of cash ($200) in the above scenario, resulting in a $0 taxable event?
