May not be worth applying now for it (unless you have a few nights you need it for).

Yep they're not like SPG though they're best value was in the cheaper places so that explains it.

Btw exactly how does this work-I never got it clear. If I have 100k points can I make 2 reservations, first one with a free night attached and same for second, to give 4 nights for 2? Or do I need to have the points in the account when I book and they're only given back after, by which case I can only book 2 nights (50k each) and get third free?

when you make a reservation for 2 nights they'll only charge you 50k

Confirmed. It's allowing me to book and giving me the free night in June, past the cutoff date. However, I didn't book and then cancel (don't have time to start with that now). I just followed through to the pricing and then exited the booking.
