Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.


NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Anyone have a tip on how to get through to Avios customer service? I had a flight cancelled by US Air and I need to get my points back.
The last 2 days I called and it said over an hours wait.

Data point:
Twice now when putting my wife's US FFN onto a BA res (she is the only one with a US cc), we both got the ability to bring a bag for free, but only her boarding pass had Zone 2 boarding, mine had a later boarding. Wasn't a problem as I just put her boarding pass on top of mine and we both go on at Zone 2, but just letting you know.

Also, the beginning of this thread (and the title) implies that you get benefits just by the fact that you booked with Avios - seemingly without requiring the switch of the FFN.

You do get priority access on AA just by the fact that you booked with Avios. And you also used to get free bags as well

I assume you are referring to MIA-NYC.
It's not a question of AA "knowing" or not. It's a question of the volume of tickets booked. You'll see prices are through the roof because planes are very full.
