Booking infant in seat on Iberia
« on: November 07, 2022, 12:19:38 AM »
Trying to book under 2 in a seat. When I choose infant, it doesn’t have option for seat, when I pick child, his age has to be above 2 or else it doeSnt work. So only other option to book 3 adults but does that work? Will it be a problem at airport when he’s not adult?

SOP is to change the birthdate for the reservation.
Won't make a difference later.
This is an international trip, right? You'll need a passport for the baby anyway. Passport control won't know what was written in the booking.
Airline won't care how old he really is.

It’s a intra Europe flight, and when I choose adult ticket it doesn’t ask for an age

sorry   SOP- standard operating procedure

The reservation asks for a birthday.  For simplicity's sake, keep the correct date, but change the year to what you need it to be.  But even intra Europe, the same principle applies.  Noone will know.  Noone will care.

They didn’t end up asking for any information on the reservation when I booked as adult only name, it was only when booking as a infant or child they asked. So seems it should be fine.
