Hi all
I started the sign up procedure for city identity monitor and after I put in all my details they wanted to verify my details so they ask some questions about my credit history.
The questions where related to a mortgage taken out recently and a car loan both of which I didn't take so I responded none of the above.
But then after clicking submit they rejected my application because they couldn't identify me.
I'm really concerned

They might have been unable to verify your address or something. PUTPAC them.

Thanks I just cancelled the trial because they couldn't confirm my identity.
But if they couldn't confirm my address why did they make it sound like someone has a mortgage on my name

they often times will ask completely random questions, doesn't mean there is actually a mortgage with your name

so just check ur credit if theres no mortgage on there then u r fine but i guarantee its not a problem

Checked with credit karma doesn't say anything

Check it directly with the CRA, to be on the safe side.
Give a close look at the 'personal information' section.
