Meir Rosenbaum, the founder of Madison Title taught himself so it should be doable. The gist of the business is that title insurance is mandated by most lenders and the state sets the prices. The product is massively overpriced. Unlike most insurance which pays out most of the premiums back to the payers, title insurance is rarely used. Something like .05 out of every dollar is paid back to the policy holders. The title search process is minimal, a few hundred dollars at best. This leaves a massive amount of potential profit to be had. The catch is that you need to have relationships with real estate attorneys, builders, agents, etc. to steer the business toward you. You often need to cultivate those relationships והמבין יבין. Good luck.
