People who daven Shemoneh Esrei in middle of the aisle.
People who have to be cute, and come with garbage cans, swimming pools, etc. to 7-Eleven, on BYOC Day.
When the VP attends a funeral in your village and you can't even get to your own house!
Amazon orders that come in 1 package, and need to be returned in 2 packages.
SOO annoying
Especially when the other package came in a plastic non reusable bag
Could of. Should of. Would of. Must of.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda, musta?
Even that would be better
Should be in this threadhttp://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=29462.msg1728484#msg1728484
That's because you're assuming people writing (or saying) those expressions are trying to communicate in English. Once you realize it's a different language that happens to sound like English, it shouldn't bother you anymore.
Lol is this a cynical comment, or did it go over my head? I always assumed they were speeding out the sound of "could've" "would've" etc
That might have been true if they wouldn't spell it "could of, should of, etc."I have expressed my opinion about the different languages phenomenon a few times on these forums.
How is "could've" pronounced any different than "could of"?
Pronunciation is not spelling. If you're going to spell everything phonetically you will get many bastardized variants.
Oh, I completely agree. I was just pondering the possible reason one might incorrectly spell the aforementioned words. And to your point, many spelling errors can be attributed to lack of phonetic knowledge, thus causing one to spell it out as it's spoken.
