Biggest challenge with DL IMHO is getting people to gateway cities at saver rates, FWIU it's much harder than with AA/UA, please CMIIW...

VS availability stinks from NYC but is awesome from BOS/WAS.
Then again that's what Avios are for :D

I had no trouble finding availability for VS in UC from NYC when I was looking...

In any event, you're right about the avios.

I haven't checked recently, but that's how it was back in the CO/VS days. 
I'm sure now that people aren't using CO to book VS flights that there's a lot less pressure on inventory.
And I guarantee when VS opens up awards to DL that there will be that same pressure and then some.

Makes sense.

Just be ready to book with your finger on the trigger and you should be OK for at least a couple of bookings :P

interesting! I have flown vs numerous times when there was no availability on aa, ba, dl and United. But maybe you where checking economy.

New route announced to PHL as DL and VS continue to expand LHR. Route will start from April 7, 2015.
