If you can get Polaris so easily, why would you even hesitate for a second?
traveling solo
I Get 3 bags + economy plus
Not the biggest fan of the new Polaris
It's an extra 32.5k points
I'm not a mile churner
I value my points at a $ value, it's an additional ~$425
Including the rest of my summer plans it adds up quickly.
I wasn't planning on heading home before my trip to SA figured for ~600 it's worth the 10 days at home
Realistically I probably will end up using the 75k
But you asked why I'm hesitant.
How far are you booking out from? I am almost done with my SA trip but I booked everything like a week and a half out. It was weird availability with SAA for J some days it showed availability multiple times a week for the next couple weeks. Then the next day it would all go away but like 1 flight. But then it would come back a couple days later again... it wasn’t phantom either because I ended up booking and flying on it even though EF said it wasn’t available.
This is for JFK-JNB assuming we are still talking about that route...
I'm around 4 weeks out
I'd love to hear more about your trip, please pm me if
you don't mind sharing
In regards to the flights I heard/read the same thing about SAA availability, closer to it opens up then disappears and comes back, which is why I booked through UA and not other *A, so I can cancel/change free of charge up until flight..
hoping closer to, the JFK-JNB flight opens
right now it's only available on UA with Cash
How much did it cost on EF? YQ?
Thanks
