Missing several important options (I live in NY or NJ and my vote doesn't count in the general election).

But TBH, if he were on the ballot the words of Jefferson would ring truer than ever: we get the government (and candidates) we deserve.

For the sake of this poll, this would not be a relevant option IMO. I am not trying to project if he will win or not. I are trying to figure out what people think about Trump now, specifically what DDFers - who mostly supported Trump the first times around - think now.

That would depend on what the meaning of support is. And it can also not be asked in a void, but only against a specific opponent (aka Pick your Poison).

If only I'd known how to make a poll, I might have started a thread with an even clearer poll. Though I am not sure how many people would make it through all the nuanced poll response options.

I can't see the results and the poll does not address the core issue about losing support base on abolishing the constitution statement.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Poll is very clear. Just pretend your vote matters, and vote accordingly.

Define real election. Is a Republican voter voting for president in California voting in a real election? Does his vote matter?

Every vote matters.
Even the votes by women.  ;)

Define matters. Does it make a difference to the outcome? Does it have a possibility of doing so?

You don't know that until after the fact.

Here is the logic. The polls say xyz is going to win by 20%. Why vote since my vote won't change that. What happens if 40% of those voting for the poll winner decide not to vote?

Every vote matters, and everyone should vote.

You don't know that the Democratic nominee will win California in the general election until after the fact? Obviously, anything is theoretically possible, but is there a higher likelihood of the right wing Republican candidate taking the state, or the prospective voter getting hit by a car on the way to vote?
