Any current good lunch specials in NYC?
Maybe can have wiki of where offers lunch menu?
[i thought i had posted this but must have forgot to press post]
tabernacle used to have a great lunch special but now its $49 before tax/tip and limited options (my guests the past couple of times chose regular menu stuff instead, and that adds up...) https://www.tabernaclesteakhouse.com/menus/#lunch-prix-fixe i had their chicken breast though and it was great for like $49 with potatoes
mocha burger lux may have current best value (outside of a simple le marais burger), $35 for their steak frites with salad is relatively luxurious for lunch though it tasted like a south american chuck steak https://mochaburgerlux.com/menu/
Personally i love the sandwich options at most places, particularly if you are downtown wall street grill's $39 steak sandwich (with real slices of good steak u can get medium rare) with fries/salad (note i am family with a part owner).
if you are on UWS, Izzys has the worlds best fleishig sandwich (their smoked fried chicken sandwich) or sliced brisket sandwiches with free fries/soda i think for lunch.

been looking for an excuse to shlep there but it’s hard. In any event, Sruli kinda innovated that sandwich for the Jewish  world. Mendel does excellent bbq in general.

When Mendel's is on their A game, their fried smoked chicken sandwich smokes Izzy's by a country mile.
But sadly that sandwich is not consistent. Other items are much more consistent though.

If you do come, be sure to do lunch and dinner. Completely different menus!

Speaking of sandwiches, nothing ruins a good sandwich like a place that "toasts" the bread but really just put it on a hot griddle and burn it. Makes the whole thing taste charred.

Disagree that it is a sign agree that is often used to cover up
Even fresh bread needs a bit of toasting especially if it will have heavy sauces on it

Toasting is good. Charring is bad

Don't follow Traded. Yes in CRE. Someone in the office sent this as it's near our office and as one of the few kosher keepers in our office, they know we are always looking for new places nearby.

Is the sushi tokyo location in Manhattan not under hashgacha? https://www.sushitokyo.com/location/sushi-tokyo-manhattan/

It says their open on Shabbos?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Going out for a special occasion dinner. What's preferred Tabernacle or WSG?

What's not to be missed at WSG?
