Yup and I can think of a long list of things considered to be hate speech and threatening entirely based on the way people hear them perceive them. All the more so for this where they have a threatening actual meaning and the the only reason anyone thinks otherwise is because they are not putting the thought into it.

to Palestinians it means planting flowers and happily strolling around in the park.

As with many words we use daily, intent and the person saying them can drastically change the meaning.

One guy can say the N-word one time and lose a career of 50 years, while another can make a career earning millions from songs with the N-word in his lyrics.

There are so many things wrong with this i am not sure where to start.

1.you have to be very naïve to think they actually mean different things to different people.
it is true that many have no clue at all what they mean and represent, but the ones who say it purposefully all mean the same thing.

2. But aren't there some people that really just mean the simple definitions of these words?, you know, just like people who say ALM? how about MAGA?

3.You could say the same about almost anything you want if you only care about what it means to you and are willing to ignore the actual implications to other people.

Let's start with translation, and then get some meanings.

Intifada = uprising / meaning to most people with basic knowledge of world events = violent uprising. What other meanings are there?



Free Palestine = Palestine free from occupation / meaning to people with a bit of critical thinking abilities = There was never a state called Palestine, hence it is at most legally "disputed territory". The actual expression means a call for an independent Judenrein Islamic State.

From the river to the sea = The land between the Jordan River to the the Mediterranean sea / meaning to anyone I can think of = undoing all Jewish settlement in the land of Israel and creating a Judenrein state as above.
