I want to correct what I said before. I did not use my SPG gold to get matched for BW Diamond. I just looked up the message I sent (it was back in November so I forgot.) I used a screenshot of my IHG Platinum to get matched for BW Diamond.

Seems others had success with SPG Gold though, so hoping for the best.

Hahah, I got matched from spg gold to BW Diamond, and only thought of trying because of you!!!!!!!!!! Wow

I am glad it worked for you! You see upthread that @Centro tried the same thing and it did not work.

Like I said, it seems the Best Western match is a real YMMV.

I sent it in on Friday so far no reply (besides for the automated email) but its over the weekend so I'll probably get an answer on Monday

I've used it in the past for car rental companies and airlines too.( air Berlin will match , and so will Turkish.....)
