The number of house fires in Lakewood this past few days definitely does not seem normal.

I don't know any specifics for this particular fire.

But in general there are a number of norms that our community may not think twice about. Think leaving a stove flame on for as long as 72 hours, unattended with everyone asleep and shabbos candles unattended.

There are safeguards that can be put in place, but overall all this puts our community at a higher fire risk.
