Just so we are talking about the same post:

@CountValentine there's clearly a strong disagreement on how to view the current climate of the Pro-Palestine protests, especially the ones on college campuses.

If I'm understanding your viewpoint correctly, you seem to believe that the protests are not as bad/violent as one would come to believe based on the reporting of them. And, that the reaction here on DDF is a bit overblown.

I don't think there's much of disagreement on what is happening, it is mostly a difference of opinion on the reaction to the protests. You seem to believe that what is currently happening has happened before and it is not the end of the world. While many other believe that this is unprecedented and dangerously close to full blown violence against jews.

Which makes me wonder, whether we as jews are overly sensitive and unnecessarily unnerved by what we are witnessing. Or, you as a non-jew, fails to appreciate the gravity of the situation as we do, based on the weight that thousands of years of persecution and violence against us has taught us.

I genuinely wonder which one of us has a better, more accurate understanding of the current events.
