Did you miss this part of the eBay post?

"You will need to cut the blade and have the key & remote programmed to your car at a Toyota dealer".

I don't think you should take that literally.

On eBay I would. Check a few other listings and you will see the same thing.

ETA: Different adds:
THIS REMOTE MUST BE PROGRAMMED AND KEY MUST BE CUT  AT A DEALERSHIP OR LOCKSMITH

You will need to have the blade cut to your vehicle and programmed via a dealer or local automotive locksmith.  There is NO self programming available for this unit.

All keys are different. Some you do have to step on the brake, open doors, turn on lights and other weird things but IMHO you are SOL with this one.

Okay. HelpMe is right that some can't be self-programmed. I didn't see the listing and I figured even the ones that you can do yourself say the same thing about dealer only.

Btw if you're in lkwd you could go to CSO, he has the same programming machine that the dealers have and I would assume he's cheaper.  . .

I would check with a locksmith first and see how much they want.

It only takes a minute to program. Tell a locksmith you got a quote for 75, can he beat that. It will take a few calls but you might get a price you like.

No, keep the key. The 75 was just an example. Start with any amount you want and see how it goes. You might have to increase or lower the amount based on the response you get.

When you followed the steps in the video at which part did it stop working?  Did the locks lock by themselves at the point where they were supposed to?

ok all, here it goes to end :-)

i went to the toyota dealer this mornig and showed him my new key and asked how much to program it, he looked at my old keys left to speak to a guy came back and said 260, basically he said i dont have a real master key, i only have a valet key. he said what happens is when dealers sell u certified cars a lot of times they wont give u a master key bec they dont have it, so they make a dummy key and give it to, he said u dont have a real master key and thats why ur youtube clips arent working either :-)  he said he would have to first program the key to the car and then program the unlock and lock buttons, he said even more, that if i would want a master key it would be 500 or so bec the wiring of the car has to be redone, so in short i got messed over, i emailed my ebay guy and will get a full refund on the key :-) so back to sq 1 and will now know i need to get vallet keys

thanks everyone so much for the help...

now where do i get a vallet key?

I am sure that a locksmith (with the proper equipment) can do it for much cheaper. Why don't you call one of the numbers referenced above?
