Weekday Fedora?

Crazy that I'm at this stage of my life, but we bought Rafi a Shabbos hat.

Any good less expensive weekday hats from Amazon or online?

I've had my "tiferes" for 2 years now and it's holding up nicely.
One thing I will mention though is that it is wool felt instead of the standard fur felt and thus somewhat grainier.

I don't know what its like in Chabad circles but usually you can easily tell the difference between that and a standard $150 weekday hat. That being said in yeshiva it was my Chabad friends that wore exactly that so if he's in a Chabad school maybe that's exactly what to get.

I know that at Hat Box, and Bencraft, their cheapest weekday hats are approximately $180-$200. Bencraft sells a $100 wool hat as their cheapest hat, it's foldable and therefore very thin. Not sure how long it would last for a BM boy.

IIRC, when I did hat research not too long ago, their cheapest were around $170. A drop less.

Anyhow, I was thinking what's close to CH.
Now I remember, it's CLE you need. Also, I missed the online part. ::) I read too quick. :)

I hear ya, though it is just for mincha...
But $170 Borsalino? Which decade are you in? :D

Better question is does a weekday hat make sense at this point, or just let him use the Borsalino daily until it becomes a weekday hat?
