Just realized that my name is messed up on BA and they have it as LastName FirstName and that is how they issued my tickets on AA. Think I'll have a problem?

I found saver availability on AA.com but can't book with BA.com
NYC-EGE 8/25, EGE-NYC 8/30
Its an example. I'm not flying on Saturday.

Oops! Got it. Learning every day...
Let's say I found saver availability for my dates, don't you think I would end up better using AA miles rather than BA miles?
AA has it 25k round trip vs BA has it at 35k RT because its 2 segments.
I feel I don't miss anything....
Am I right?

ok i see tons of lan - orange (i guess the equivalent of aa's milesAAver) to iguazu for august.
im wondering, how in the world would i successfully search that on ba.com
im seriously interested in tackling the ba miles for LAN flights issue.
who's got experience?
i have july 30th till august 10th
im thinking about doing a south america road trip during a ten days off i have in august.
im thinking possibly most or all of these destinations buenos aires-iguazu-chile-equador-colombia-venezuala-bolivia-parugauy-buenos aires. i want to do all this with ba miles flying i LAN or whoever else i can fly using BA.
im at the beggining right now - bue iguazu - ba doesnt let me search igr, it corrects it to IGUAZU - IGR, then i press search and it comes up with an error?
has anyone succesfully booked this flight or do i guinnipig and HUCA.. i am lazy and huca is annoying waiting on hold etc.. (does anyone have a direct line?)

well here's my story.
i found that the LAN flights leave from AEP,.. until now i was searching BUE. finally now searching AEP-IGR i find availability.
now, on LAN.com the entire month of july augaust besides 1 or 2 days has the lowest mileage availability pricing for awards, so i assume that is meant to appear on BA.com but it doesnt.
the agent on the phone had horrible availibility and insisted neither him nor the people that he works with i.e supervisors or managers could do anything unless i was a gold member, - if i was a gold member they would get me availability even if it didnt exist. he said they have a agent in all their partners award teams that they call if a gold asks for a award flight. so scenario - gold member calls BA asking for award on july 4th with qantas. agent checks and see's no availibility, agent calls manager - manager calls contact in qantas award department. qantas contact opens seat up for ba - manager books gold member ticket.

sounds pretty awesome. again - this is just what this agent told me. it's not written anywhere so dont go round expecting it.
im still trying to find availability for july 30 AEP-IGR coming back augaust 1st....

what is my best bet? united? anything else out there?
Qantas is a ripoff.. so i'm definitely not using QFF points..

OK, I apologize if this is a stupid newbie question or a PEBKAC issue or something, but...

AA.com shows availability for a EWR-SJU Economy MileSAAver award for Feb 3. I went to BA.com and searched for EWR-SJU for Feb 9, then selected Search up to 7 days earlier. It shows only Feb 5 as available. Why doesn't BA.com show the Feb 3 flight? Nor Feb 4 or 6???

Thanks for the reply, but the Feb 5 flight is not a non-stop: EWR-MIA-SJU. Why would it post that and not the other dates?

It doesn't make a difference how or why ba.com does what it does, but either way you have to pay for every single segment so just search for and book every segment separately and they'll check your bags all the way through.

You should not use the Calendar, especially for non-BA flights.

There is plenty of Award Availability on the 3rd:

Trying to get BA.com to show availability for this to no avail.. Trying earlier dates and clicking on "7 dates later" and later dates and clicking on "7 days earlier".
I typed JFK and not NYC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The same that I was doing before for a little longer.

Now having the same issue with LAX-MIA 7/9 on business.
It's available nonstop on AA.com as above. The weird thing is Qantas is not either showing it..

There is no C Cabin on that route and BA.com has issues with F Award Bookings on intra-US flights -- you need to call BAEC:
