Question: if I booked flight and now want to switch the passenger-requiring me to cancel & rebook ( there is no more award seats left ) how long does it take for the seat to open up again after i cancel (assuming it doesn't get instantly eaten up again)?

ba award seats open instantly once you cancel

You sure about that?? So if I have a flight that has no more availbilitiy, I can cancel and rebook it instantly ??

My case I booked flights from one account but would rather use points from someone else's account since they "owe me" but don't want to risk loosing these seats either..

Any chance that US flights don't follow the same "MileSAAver-can-be-booked-by-BA" rule that applies for AA flights?

If the flight has no more seats left, they liking won't release it to saver.

Been trying for a week now. Reps see the space but can't get it to ticket. Each time they "talk to a manager" then come back on the phone with some excuse like it's not really in inventory or US didn't release us those seats. Today was "the flight was cancelled by US". LOL

Why does BA sometimes price out EI flights in only business class and not economy when the flight only has economy?

As far as I know, only with the 'Manage my booking tab, which requires you to know the confirmation #. It should have been emailed to you, but sometimes is not. Otherwise you need to call in, and they sometimes are reluctant to give that over the phone, and will insist that they can only email that information. YMMV
