How do I book through Amex travel fine hotels and resorts using points for a friend? Adding name to reservation works?

You need to book for yourself and add him by calling the hotel/chain and adding him as a second guest afterwards.

Has anyone gotten airline credit from booking on top of a gift card? Is it only travel bank that triggers it? For delta
Booked a month ago on top of gift card and didn’t work but usually when using travel credit it works

I have the biz plat.
Thinking of getting the consumer plat or gold purely for the SUB.
Is the 50% bonus via referral  - 150k in 6 month for plat or 90k for gold the best offer available? Which one offers more pure value? I won't be putting much more than the minimum req spend on it
