Making vacations less stressful
« on: May 05, 2013, 02:49:43 PM »
Someone gave me good advice:

Take off more workdays than your trip so when you get back you can have a day or two to unwind and prepare for getting back to work.

I thought its a great idea so wanted to share!
Work is what you do between vacations.

Why don't you just spend the last day of vacation doing nothing but chill?

Results of the most stressful places to go - two of the places were Disneyland and Times Square. Heard it recently on the radio.
“You see things; you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say 'Why not?”

My advice is that when taking your kids on a trip, remember, it's their trip not yours. I went to the zoo today and watched all the parents forcing their kids to sit perfectly still trying to get the best picture (probably to post on Facebook). The kids were miserable being forced to look like they were having a great time.

I decided to let my daughter set the agenda. She spent 25 minutes watching one exhibit and munching a snack. I just posted stuff on DDF. Maybe we didn't get to see everything but we left happy.
