What are you saying about overcompensating and that we should go hungry?
one of us must be really tired, bc I can't make heads or tails of that sentence.

I was trying to be sarcastic online. My mistake. I was making a point that come pesach people buy food as if they are coming off a fast. Just walk in to any grocery and you'll see shelves upon shelves loaded with all sorts of chazerei that didn't exist 5 years ago. There is cereal (yuck, btw), cookies, cakes, chips, ices/ice cream, frozen 'pizza', tons of dairy products, etc... People spend at least $1000 on Yom Tov food not including fish or meat. I think it's way way out of hand.
My greatest achievement? I am fluent in FRIENDS quotes

+1
There are so many pretend versions of food products that don't taste good, that people forget to enjoy the foods that are kosher lpesach year round, and delicious too.

Just today I saw a store selling pesachdik tradition soups, (made with fake noodles I guess). Made me laugh

i do. but never really grew up with it being cooked in the house so no big deal. btw pple that cant eat matzoh pizza- i know plenty of familys that dont eat gebrokts and still eat pizza. just use fresh tomatoes ground up with fresh garlic (i like hot peppers in there as well) some salt and put on matzoh with cheese. its only veggies and cheese and isnt a problem.

then if their minhag comes from their father they should ask their father. And if their father doesn't know then their LOR should be able to guide them.

If the alternative is dry crunchy matzo for brunch...

Also a special mention to matzo cake. A bunch of matzos soaked in red wine layered with chocolate cream... Good stuff. (Again, considering the alternative...)
Gross.

Fry up some hash browns and an omelet for brunch.

No no, Matza pizza cannot be compared to regular pizza. They are two different things. I love Matza pizza.

Only on Pesach though. :)

Ok, I take it back. I would def eat it after Pesach as well. But then I'd just prefer regular pizza most of the time.
I like Matza also. But after Pesach I usually prefer bread.

Fyi, for all those refraining from gebrochts, you can eat matza with avacado! מי פירות Is NOT מחמיץ. However, if cv"s water hits, its like gebrochts on steroids
depends why you're makpid not to eat gebrokts. If you're worried about unbaked then it's like water and mei peiros, if you're worried about flour on the matza then your 1st statement is correct and the there's the the chochmas shlomo who seems to only be worried about ground matza based on the Tur's understanding of the sugya  in pesachim regarding flour from roasted wheat which is assur even though it's not machmitz. For a more comprehensive list of the reasons see minhag yisrael torah
ETA: and that's only if avocado s even considered mei peiros (big if)
