Anyone understands what this is?

XpresCheck will provide on-site testing for select EL AL Israel Airlines travel routes in Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International

Right. So basically samples are taken off before the flights instead of after landing. Not a bad idea imho

The big question is whether Israeli authorities are on board with this. Will passengers from this flight go through a different path upon landing? Will they be given colorful bands before they deplane?

I can't see how this works if not implemented across the board.

According to Reuters the answer is yes. The MoH is onboard and people landing don't need to do the Femi test

Yes N12 reported it is sanctioned by the MoH.

I saw that. But I take all reporting, especially when it comes to COVID-19, especially when it comes to new rules and regulations, and especially when those are regarding Israel, with a huge grain of salt.

Even if true, it could be נכון לשעתו.

If indeed this is true, and it works, it should replace all other tests (or test documents) IMHO. It is a more accurate and streamlined procedure. Though I don't expect it to go without any hiccups.

In the current format it certainly can't replace pre departure tests because there are no results until after landing

I'm only posting the following tweet because of the current conversation, even though it is more relevant to the airport thread.

As evidenced, the only way Photoshop/Acrobat etc. tests are detected is when they are unprofessional and are therefore מזוייף מתוכו. If they are clean, there's no way anyone sees anything wrong with them.

if one know for certain (to the extent humanly possible) that they pose no public health threat to others, well.... draw your own conclusions.
