It's usually $700-800 but it's out of stock for months now, people selling refurbished on amazon for over $1300! I'm ready to negotiate as well

Based on my best estimates, my 15-year-old+ camera which I paid $60 for is now worth about $80 on the used market (or was until it started acting up this year). New models going for $150 at least.
My contacts at B&H say that the camera companies are no longer manufacturing any cheap cameras because the profit margin is too slim.

You can get a used one on ebay for 5/600 to 800 if you look for a few days.

I never tried selling on Amazon before (don't know exactly how it works), and they charge $100+ on selling fees plus sales tax for buyer. And I don't want to deal with the hassle of returns etc.

Yad Shniya WhatsApp group is great for these kinds of things. I had a friend list for me (I don't have a smartphone) and the item was sold within a short time.

Selling on eBay is pretty simple. I'm not a big seller there. But I have sold like a dozen items over there. The fees are quite high as you say, like 10 to 15 percent, depending on the item...

One thing I can say about eBay, is that they always have your back, if you do everything correctly, they'll always make sure you are in the right, and you won't lose money, their customer service is top notch... You can also select that you don't want returns, (provided, that the details of the exact condition are listed, and the buyer is getting exactly what he sees) you put pictures, and can allow offers... You can also try making the item $150-200 more than you want for it, this way the fees will be covered by that.. Shipping, you can also charge for...

Definitely worth looking into...

How does this camera compare to the canon eos r100 mirrorless camera that can be bought new for $500? the r100 is advertised as "easy to use" is  the G7x much more complicated and much better quality, or similar?
