Was able to book a few dates st sr mle but they charged me 68k per night for the overwater villa
https://viewfromthewing.boardingarea.com/2018/06/28/caution-marriotts-new-chart-is-good-for-top-hotels-but-not-as-good-as-you-think/I’m seeing a ton of coverage of Marriott’s new award chart lauding the top points price of the most expensive hotels. For instance, Dan’s Deals: wrote AMAZING! Marriott’s New Award Chart Is A Dream Come True For Aspirational Hotels. This is indeed good news, but it needs to be tempered.
@Dan I have to be a bit skeptical about the all suite hotel pricing. Here is the reason why: For example. Mystique is an all suite luxury collection hotel. Current pricing is 70K SPG Points. However, according to the new Marriott chart, the "current" pricing is only 90K Marriott Points - which we know is not true. It says the price will drop to 85K in 2019, however being the they are off about the current pricing leads me to believe marriott has something else up there sleeve. The same thing applies for Bora Bora and Maldives alike hotels.Let me know your thoughts
I also have a very hard time believing that hotels like the St. Regis MLE will actually be bookable at that price. At the very least they'll probably make the entire calendar peak pricing.
+1. I was surprised at the overly positive post.
Even peak would be too generous.Current pricing isnt actually bookable, so why would I believe that the future one will be?

I still dont get how to resolve the fact that the "current pricing" is not available at all for those luxury hotels.
I don't understand why you're so optimistic about this.

Ahem, I think my prediction was pretty on point. Nothing is available at the lowest 60k rate.
Lol, the beach villa will get there soon, but who wants a beach villa anyway?OWB for 68-85K is insane.
True, although if you can book beach villa with a cert and pay to upgrade that's even better.
If the upgrade cost is $300-400/night?
Here's another good list of #FreezingColdTakeshttps://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/marriott/guesstimating-marriott-travel-packages-will-work-august-take-advantage-marriotts-lucrative-milesnights-packages-now/https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/milespoints/another-guess-will-happen-certificates-marriotts-lucrative-milesnights-travel-packages-take-advantage-now/https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/marriott/marriotts-remaining-travel-package-options-will-go-points-category-based-certificates-now/Yes, you listed every single scenario known to man kind so you can always say that you predicted this. But you analysis clearly assumed that there would be some leverage points at some point in the mapping of the certs.
Booked to return to SR MLE in July but they are still not able to refund my upcoming reservations. Will give it till tomorrow before I keep escalating till they agree to do it since my reservation is on Thursday.
do not try to refund now!!! 3 points will not come back at the moment, they're having system issues with it. If they can somehow it just it manually that would probably work. But don't lose the dates!

To what exactly were you calling Fakenews?
Lol, that was based on Flueck's TPG interview saying it wouldn't happen.Though he was right about the AMEX Plat loophole not going to work.
Don’t care if it gets lost in the ether for sometime as Im sure with enough HUCA I’ll get them back as long as I’m able to get it done before my reservation as I don’t think they’ll be so willing after my stay is over...Also was able to just merge my accounts online.
best is if you can, make a new reservation and cancel the old one, that will be the easiest.
