I know it's been asked a million times, but most of the "classic" options don't work for me.Looking for a place to spend a Shabbos (and only Shabbos) in March, with readily available meals, davening, etc. Chabad preferred, but if someone has a weird idea I'm totally open. These are my options (link to full list if anyone's bored or can't decipher an airport code):Keristir via BUD is an interesting option, but the flight timing is way too tight I'm afraid.CDG sounds interesting too, but from what I understand Chabad is not very convenient.Any thoughts?
FCO is great, definitely recommend, but it looks like you've been. What about Venice, or London which is a gaping hole in his map? Also, if you are considering Kerestir, Mezhibuzh and Hadich are both amazing
Been to both FCO and LHR. Ukraine and VCE are not reachable before Shabbos unfortunately.
EDI has Chabad with Shabbos meals and nice hotels within 20min walk
And nearby 'Royal Mile' is a nice Shabbos afternoon walk
Interesting, thanks!
SF in a Streimel and Kilt....
You can get to LA or San Diego.Alternatively, Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman, and probably cancun are all zika free.
How about Aruba, Jamaica, or DR?
Distance wise they are within 5 hours of nyc, but I'm not sure how you define zika free.
If there is even a slight cause to be concerned with zika then I would stay away.
So then the entire Caribbean is likely off limits. In the new (useless) cdc map, the entire Caribbean is purple, which means it has had past zika cases with no updates. There are no countries singled out as having active outbreaks at this point. However, if you look at the cdc page for Aruba, they've removed the level 2 advisory to avoid travel if pregnent so who knows.
So now that the Carribean is basically off-limits, what's the next best option?I just did San Diego in the summer so don't want to go back there
