Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Yes, anyone can load money to someone else's card, just like you can deposit money to someone else's bank account. For instance, one of my Redbirds is on g/f name and I load it with my credit cards. However, because Redbird is new, there are reports of some cashiers not letting you load other people's Redbirds.
You totally misunderstood his question.

you are wanting to make another red card on your brothers as with your name cmiiw
I put an RC under his name and info but I don't want to risk getting it shut down by linking my bank account to the card since it will be diff names. What the best thing to do to be able to load/unload 2.5k/day or 5k/month? Thx

Dang, so the rest withdraw from atm and then deposit in bank account? I guess that's at the very least 4 atm trips (assuming $750/visit/day)

Ok to do that even if names don't match on the accounts? This would be my brothers RC sending to my bank account. ..

Understood, that makes sense. Can I bill pay all $5k at once or should I split into 2x 2.5k?

I personally don't like charging my card say $2500 in one month in target and using bill pay for that exact amount so I pay a random amount with bill pay either the whole bill including other charges or less than $2500 and pay the rest from a regular bank account
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

That's actually smart. Maybe I'll leave a few bucks on the RC at the end of the month and split the bill pay up a few times with diff amounts (not totaling 2.5k or 5k as per load amounts).

Would have solved my whole problem with being able to buy something with 5% off for the month if I left something on it. Learned my lesson for march.

Lol yeah it's hard to remember ALL of the perks of the RC. I keep a mental note to make sure there's around $100 on it prior to shopping or just reload 1st thing when going in.

i screwed up..and didnt off load about 2000 last month... i reloaded another 5000 and went to pay 7000 worth of bills. obviously it didnt let more then 5000. so i went to target atm to go withdraw funds. it didnt let either. is 5000 the max u can use a month regardless of whats in account? any way to off load the remaining 2000?
i cant transfer to my bank, as the card is in my dads name .....(just ignore that part)

Says on their FAQ section that 15k (for registered payees aka businesses listed) is the max limit for Bill Pay per month. 5k is the limit for unregistered payees. Hope that helps.

I'm an au on the Account and there's no difference between the cards numbers cvc etc. For all the bank knows I'm using my au card. That's fraud?

as far as the merchant that swipes your card is concerned, yes

-1 the merchant could call the bank and verify that you are an AU. its not fraud at all. only fraud is in the sense that the store should have verified.

I've been loading with my Arrival+ card and it's been fine except for the first time where it wasn't allowed. I just called them and told them the charge was legit and everything has been fine since. Now my wife just got a redcard and is going to load with her AU Arrival+ card. Is there any chance they're going to not allow the charge since the last 2 digits of the account number is different. I'd rather not call Barclays since I don't want them asking questions about all of these large Target purchases.
