New to Miles Game--Please advise: Asking price? etc.

Have 78,000 AAdvantage miles (thanks to a previous Dans ccard suggestion) and just did the Dans suggested United offer X2 which should lead to 55,000 x 2 (if all works out).
Question is: we rarely travel. and now need to make a trip to E.Y.—
Simplest/cheapest path seems to just sell the miles and book through Chase.com (looks simple and cheap--about $1095 round trip with a stop in Spain). 

But who to sell miles through? Even the 'sell your miles' banner ad on Dans opening page requests  your 'asking price ' ?! No clue.

Any suggestions:
1-is this the best use of our miles- trips through AAdvantage seem much more expensive and United doesn't appear to even fly to E.Y.
2-where is best place to sell miles. What is a reasonable asking price??
