I'm so upset about this.

The earliest source of a shofar was when Abraham was going to kill his son Isaac and G-d stopped it and let him use a ram instead, hence a shofar comes from a ram to remind G-d of his compassion.

BUT they could have said, look even in the bible we believe killing children is ok, so too.... And use the shofar as that symbol.

What a lost opportunity.
