So they definitely are not stackable then... good to know. Thanks.
A friend of mine got both, a few days later he received an email stating that the 40% was in error, and would be removed.

you have till the end of May.

I'm trying to get this deal, and when u wanna do the transfer there's a place to enter how many miles your transfer will get u. but when I put in 50k points, it automatically says it'll get me only 50k miles, not 75k. has anyone done this?

If it's registered under your registered promotions in your account you will sure get it. But make sure to check before.

for someone who flies delta, would it be worth it to open a second DL account, make a second 50k->75k transfer and then merge the accounts for Gold Status?
what does Gold do that Silver doesn't?

won't help IME. once you merge the account they'll take back the 2nd 25K EQM and leave you on Silver.

Any reason why once the bonus miles points post I couldn't transfer my original amount + bonus back to amex? 50k amex becomes 75k delta and then become 75k amex?

Thanks
MS

I'm on the fence about this one. 150,000 MR points (all earned through opening cards). I could get 225,000 Delta points or stick them all in Continental. From where I live,  both have limited direct flights but redeeming on Star Alliance through CO/UA could be useful.

In terms of 'value' on the open market which points are worth more?

They're about equal, though I'm sure Dan would choose CO hands down.
