I'm leaving TLV heading to JFK. I flew with them a few RTs, I really enjoy the service and the second bag. I was planning on paying anyway.
Can I get in with an expired Amex plat or united pass?

I've never been to the KD, either, so add it to what I wrote about the LH FCT above. Also, like the FCT, the KD is much harder to get into, as a simple *G card will not suffice.

As for the crowds... I didn't see any. ESPECIALLY after they opened the expansion. Oh sure, there were people, but it was far from (over)crowded.

Who said anything about comparing LH FCT to the TK lounge? All I said was that of all the lounges I HAVE been to so far (Dan TLV, too many UA/US/AA lounges to count, BA F JFK, Panorama ZRH, LX ZRH, Diamond BRU, OS VIE, Airspace CLE, Cathay J/F YVR, etc. etc. etc.), the TK lounge has been the nicest/best I've ever been to. As a side point, I mentioned that lest anyone think I'm crazy enough to say that TK is the nicest in the world, I pointed out that there are lounges such as the FCT (which are in a league of their own) which I haven't even been to yet, so they're not even part of this equation. After your comment, I added the KD to the same side of the scale as the FCT (i.e. not comparing them to each other, but rather comparing each of them to the rest of the lounges that I HAVE been to, and saying that they're in a league of their own).

I don't know what 'level' the lounge is (first class lounges come into mind) and what TK's policies are.

I tried getting in last week, you need either a business/first boarding pass or *G card with you. You can not pay to get in.

I did not find any lounge that accepted the united pass

Was a shame that when I landed in JFK I hit gold. I ended up paying $40 in the millennium lounge.
