Hi,"Newbie alert"I've recently gotten married and am looking into starting my own business. It seems like everyone is doing it and has just figured it out, but I can't seem to get a grip on what to do and how to do it. This makes me wonder what everyone is doing and how they started and figured it out. Am I just stupid?Sorry if this has been discussed before.
Selling on Amazon, everyone seems to do it but I draw a blank about how to start/what to sell.College doesn't pay the bills.
College doesn't pay the bills.
How about selling on amazon?
Read thru the entire selling on amazon thread there is tons of useful information on there... I know it's a very long thread and can get repetitive but it is probably worth your time. If you still have questions then I'm sure ppl will be willing to help you.
Also see the basement business thread for some awesome ideas.
Pretty bold statement. You should get out of yeshiva more
This seems to be the answer for everyone trying to make a living these days.I don't sell myself, but from what I hear it is extremely competitive, very long hours and is not for the faint of heart. Please cmiiw.
Start with whatever you can get on sale etc. Once you're more comfortable with the process, you can try branching out.
Thanks, I'll look for it and go through it.I'll have to look out for this thread too.Seems you misunderstood me. I am not saying that college doesn't give a stable job (which is debatable). I'm saying that while in college, there's no money to pay the bills.Do you have a different idea?
The last mishna in Kdushin says; ויתפלל למי שהעשר והנכסים שלושאין אמנות שאין בה עניות ועשירותשלא עניות מן האמנות ולא עשירות מן האמנותאלא הכל לפי זכותו So what you need to do is think of a line which you would enjoy and would fit you (that's what the חובת הלבבות writes) and try your best and hope to hashem for the best! Much of hatzlucha in whatever you'll do!
+1What do you think you would be good at/happy with?
