Posted in another thread but user 1&1 pointed out that it should be posted here,

Google.com/keep

Android notepad and is accessible from your Google drive. No need to have other notepads.

Hoping that they will add more features soon like sharing.
This is an app or an in-browser notepad? Couldn't find it on Google Play
ETA: found it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.keep
But it REQUIRES ANDROID: 4.0.3 and up" so that's why it wasn't coming up in my Play Store

it's on Google play, and I installed it on my phone. For some reason I was only able to find it on the browser Google play and from there download to my phone

It's what is on the outside that matters

Is there an Android GPS app that doesn't need a data/WiFi connection?

how is that supposed to work?
Unless it isn't turn-by-turn, but than the app would be insanely large!

There's a couple apps I'm trying to put on my Nook that say they are not compatible with my device (e.g. MLB At Bat). Is there any way to force download it?

GPS Only lets you know the coordinates of where you are. It won't give you directions unless it has access to a map.

So it would have to be a large app?
Or, can I just get maps for certain areas?

Basically you're looking for an old fashioned conventional GPS like Garmin and TomTom, just that it runs on android, with built in maps? Such a thing doesn't exist AFAIK.

What Moishel is saying is that basically they have such things, they just don't have a cellphone feature :)

After spending a minute to talk to my friend google, I find that such a device actually exists, but not for cars, it's made for biking/hiking etc.

If you're just looking for an app for a non 3g device you could probably find an app that you can download your city to local storage so that you don't need a data connection while driving. Let me go ask my friend.

You're going to want to download this GPS app if you want to use it later on without data, after downloading the appropriate maps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.osmand

Yup thats one, though it is terrible in my experience. There are others as well, I think maybe sygic is one, and navfree. But none of them come anywhere close to Google Maps.
