Keep Chase Ink Plus 70,000 UR points bonus?

I signed up for Chase Ink Plus less than 12 months ago and got in on the 70,000 point bonus. At the time, I was freelance consulting. Today I'm an FTE and don't have much need for the card, or the $95 fee to renew it.

I haven't redeemed the bonus points yet, but I did transfer them to my Sapphire Preferred account. (I plan to keep the CSP card.)

QUESTION: If I cancel the card before the 1-year mark to avoid the annual fee, are the 70,000 points that I moved to my CSP account safe?

Once moved, they are safe. You can try reconsideration to get AF waived if you want to keep the card. Or, just close and reapply later on.
