he wrote 10,000 im assuming $$$$ a month

+1

I think in the beginning there they didn't impost the 2k/month limit.

you asked if he had 10+ people he was sending to...im simply saying he was sending 10k a month not to ten people like you asked

But did you have multiple accounts?
Have multiple accounts at the same household but not under the same name. Venmo had no limit when it first started. Just sent back and forth among a small group.

He also said he wouldn't do $2k to one person, so assuming $1k per person, I'm asking if he was transferring to 6-10 (or more) people and getting cash/check from them, or was he doing this:

sent back and forth among a small group.

Say you have a group of ten. A sends C 1250, C sends D 900 & 350, D sends G 700 & 550 and so on. When done everyone sent and received 1250. Rinse and repeat with a different amount. I don’t recommend this now.

What seems to work now is husband sends wife 1459.36 on the 5th of every month with the note “mortgage payment”. Son sends dad 356.93 on the 10th of every month with a note “car payment”. I think you get the idea.

Your recommendation of latter vs. former is based on reports of people getting shut down for the former? If yes, how many people/accounts in the ring?

Twelve individual accounts and all were shut down. Many are back and running under different ID’s but the 2k limit is too low for me.

You have to understand with any of these deals to last you have to use moderation, I did not do that and was stupid, greedy or both. What is also important is I do not do this for points/miles or to meet spending requirements. It is all about cash.

After being shutdown, have you found a way to get back on?

New accounts maybe?

The ones that decided to continue use different ID's. I do not know of anyone that was able to get an account unsuspended.

From Venmo:
After reviewing your transaction history, we have determined that your activity has been inappropriate for use on Venmo and against our Terms and Conditions. As a result, we have decided to delete your account with us.

This was last year.

Different IDs, same address? Same name? Same credit card?

Delete? Interesting word-choice...

Did anyone have funds frozen with Venmo? Were they able to recover them?

Thanks for sharing what you did :)

P.s. you should consider multi-quoting...

Just did a quick search about Venmo. It looks like that you have to have invitation code to join in.

According to Flyertalk, if you have iphone, you don't need invitation code. However I have not tried it in my iphone yet.

I do have a question about this Venmo. Does it require both you and friend download Venmo on the phone. How about one download it on the phone and another just use computer? Anyone knows?

Just got 7 credit cards in one month, I am kind of have problem to meet the spending limit  :)
