BA Credit Cards
« on: December 06, 2012, 02:29:36 AM »
Hi,

Was wondering if it's worth getting a BA Credit card if when you actually book a ticket using points you have to pay the taxes which are really high (the annual fee is also pretty high).

Another question, I have a Capital one credit card which is great cuz no Foreign Exchange fees and also lets me use my points retroactively- when I book a hotel/ticket/car I can pay using my credit card then have them reimburse me using my points.
Are there any other credit cards that do the same?

Thanks!!

1) Welcome.

2) There are ways to use Avios (BA's mileage) where the taxes are quite minimal and the value is great (e.g. domestic short-haul). As for whether it's "worth it," only you'd be able to decide.

3) Many cards offer no forex fees. Not sure on the retroactive bit...

Amex Blue Sky works exactly like that.
