Best fridge/freezer for storage?
« on: August 27, 2018, 01:35:03 PM »
I am looking for a fridge/freezer for storage purposes (to keep in my garage). I want to get as much room as possible in each section, while not having to get 2 separate appliances. I don't need any fancy features.

Will a side by side give me the most room in each? 24/25 cubic feet is what I'm looking for?

Any specific one that you recommend? What should such a thing cost?

Thanks!

Where do you live? Is the garage temperature controlled?
I just found a new supply of forks!

I would strongly advise against a side by side.
You get many narrow shelves, no wide shelves.
That may make it difficult to store items. And the freezer shelves will be even narrower.

Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

It will be in a temperature controlled room. Florida.

Thanks for the advice. What would you get? The top/bottom ones usually have a pretty small freezer - no?

Unfortunately, I can tell you what not to get. I cannot tell you what to get. For an extra fridge/freezer I would go with an ordinary top freezer, bottom fridge, and just look for the largest size. Just whatever it is, make sure the lady of the house agrees.

Not as small as the side by sides. Some people would recommend getting one top/bottom and a separate freezer, or one that's just a fridge and one that's just a freezer.
