How does that make sense? How about the other way if you get one ticket because you though it would help you then it wasn't worth it ever to speed. That makes more sense.
Disagree. If someone specifically speeds because they have the radar detector, I agree. However, in my case, I speed minimally, and have never been pulled over, and don't plan on it.
For example, on the pallkisafes there is an unwritten rule that you won't be pulled over unless you are going over 70; I go 70-72 on pallisades. I was once in the car with a real tzaddik in my shul, and saw a radar detector in his car. I asked what's up because he was the last person that I expected to have one. He told me he got pulled over for going 67 on the pallisades.
There you have it. After that conversation, I got in the market for one.
