I have known about this for some time, but I don't know that I like how, specifically Frum based instructions for how to game the system. This fellow posts how you can save quite a bit onflights to and from Israel, but it's technically notquite Kosher'. He researches which cities in the USare running cheap promotions to Israel. And sinceall flights or most, go thru NY, he advised that youcan take a one way flight to say, Houston, then, start your international trip, Houston, NY, direct toTLV or with a Euro stopover, and then return, hetells that you can just leave JFK with your luggage. This is all true, but it's not legal according that you have a contract with the airline to complete allsegments, just like you wouldn't be able to start the trip from JFK and not Houston. I think we allknow this already. My issue is if this is constitute a bit of a Chilull Hashem or not. Maybe b'Tznina, is one thing, if someone does it but to so publicize this, is a little embarrassing to me.
Jealousy... their forum is terrible
I have many qualms but of all things hidden city??? There are actually laws (in certain jurisdictions) forbidding airlines from canceling tickets if you don't fly one of them.
i spoke to a travel agent who wanted to come i explained a little and he said oh the hidden city- we are not allowed to do it.just his 2 cents
I hope he's still in Business.
Well, you dont want to pay a debit memo from the airline on a hidden city ticket
So it seems like after last night seminar, people are starting to hear about a website called dans deals or something like that.See what I just came across in YWN CR -http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/dans-deals-getting-cheaper-flights
How exactly is the TA liable for a client getting off in the middle of an itinerary?
Of course he is entitled to his own opinion. Just no need to make noises about it.
Ask the airlines...
No, it's the court that would make the decisionCan't see how on earth a TA can be held liable for his clients actions
